WHAT IS FINANCIAL COACHING?
Personalized financial coaching consists of one hour meetings (virtual or in person), where we will assess your current situation, set goals, and learn practical action steps to accomplish them.
You receive ongoing tools and support reaching any goal, such as: paying off debt, perfecting a budget, saving for the future, and more. Weekly follow-up emails with tips, action steps, and answers to your questions. The benefit of having a unique personal finance plan and someone to guide you through it all and keep you accountable!
However, it WON’T help if you are not honest with me about your current numbers and behaviors -or if you are not ready to make changes.
My goal is to prevent money fights between married couples, not start them.
I have a firm policy against meeting with married individuals without their spouse. If scheduling is an issue, please email me and we can figure out the best way to make it work for all our schedules.
WHAT IF MY SPOUSE DOESN’T WANT TO MEET WITH YOU?
I officially completed Dave Ramsey’s Financial Coach Master Training in 2023, but I have led Financial Peace University (Ramsey’s money class) as a coordinator since 2020. I love many of Dave Ramsey’s tools and resources but spoiler alert: I don’t follow all his rules to a T. I also spend hours reading books and listening to podcasts and watching videos on personal finance. I love sharing the best resources with you, so you don’t have to waste your time searching for them. Additionally, I have worked the baby steps of getting out of debt and building wealth since 2006!
As far as formal education: I have received my undergrad from Dallas Baptist University in Bachelor of Business Studies and I have been a licensed Realtor® since 2007.
DO YOU HAVE ANY FORMAL TRAINING?
Nope. As a financial coach, I don’t sell any investment products. I help you with the behavioral and mindset side of finance. I’ll help you with more day-to-day things like budgeting and paying off debt. My goal is to get all my clients into a position where they can give and invest more and then let the advisors take it from there.
